Free Services - Doing Our Part to Help in the COVID-19 Emergency - Estate Planning

Posted by Scott Hoh | Apr 03, 2020 | 0 Comments

Hello All:

During the COVID-19 Emergency, it is the job of lawyers to stand-up and lead.   My clients have come to trust my advice, and now is the time to provide reassurance during this emergency.

First, we have 2 webinars scheduled on April 9th and April 15th - Emergency COVID-19 Estate Planning From the Safety of Home.  Do you know of an older person who is scared and has questions about signing a Will during this national crisis?   Perhaps there is a young family with small children and parents are worried about the future.  Is there an elderly neighbor down the street and they are separated from their family because of shelter in place orders.   We are able to have video and phone conferences with clients from the safety of home.  Pennsylvania has new emergency procedures regarding the remote notarization and witnessing of Wills, Powers of Attorney, etc.  Therefore, we can provide emergency help to everyone who is sheltering at home.

We are also doing more.  As part of our Estate Planning service, we offer our exclusive Comprehensive Estate Plan (CEP).  This is a document that organizes all important Estate Plan documents, including financial information, emergency contacts, life insurance, funeral planning, advance directives, final instructions, personal information, etc.  In the event of an emergency or death, your family needs to be able to quickly access all of this emergency information.   Even if you already have a Will and Power of Attorney in place, we are happy to work with you and can create your personalized CEP AT NO CHARGE

Finally, the COVID-19 pandemic has also caused a national financial emergency.  While our set package for basic estate planning is inexpensive $400 for a couple, or $300 for an individual, during this crisis, for some people, that is quite a bit of money.   If an older person has financial constraints, I don't want the fear of payment to prevent them from getting their Estate Plan in Order.  Just simply let me know if there are financial difficulties, and we'll finalize your Estate Plan.  For these clients, they can pay us in the future when they get back on their feet.

We are doing our part to help.  If you have an older family member or neighbor who needs our service, please register for our free Webinars or encourage them to sign-up.  Together, we will get through this.  The greatness of our Country is the way Americans help each other and stand up to protect those who are are at risk.   Keep the faith.   - Scott
